Privacy policy

What personal data xylem.se processes, why, and your rights under the GDPR.

Who is responsible

Xylem Aktiebolag (org.nr 556271-5648), Jät, Sweden, is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Questions about this policy go to thomas@xylem.se.

What this site collects

The website is a static information site. It has no user accounts, no contact forms and sets no cookies of its own. Nothing you type is sent to us through the site; the only way to contact us is by email.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard technical server logs (IP address, requested URL, time, user agent) for security and operations. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views using a hashed, daily-rotating identifier derived from the request rather than a cookie or persistent identifier, so individual visitors are not tracked across days or sites.

Email contact

If you email thomas@xylem.se, we process your name, email address and whatever you choose to write in order to answer you and, if an assignment follows, to carry out and invoice that work (legal basis: steps prior to a contract, and legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). Correspondence is kept for as long as the matter is open and for bookkeeping periods required by Swedish law.

Sharing and transfers

Personal data is not sold and not used for advertising. Technical data is processed by Vercel Inc. as our hosting and analytics provider under a data processing agreement, and email is handled by our email provider. Where such providers process data outside the EU/EEA, standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision apply.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and request data portability. Write to thomas@xylem.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
